Saudi Arabia (FETP)

Established in 1989, the Saudi Arabia Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) was the first FETP in the Eastern Mediterranean Region, marking the beginning of a regional movement to strengthen applied epidemiology and public health workforce development. The program was launched through a collaboration between the Saudi Ministry of Health (MOH), the U S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and King Saud University (KSU). Since its inception, the Saudi FETP has served as a longstanding regional training hub, welcoming participants from across the Saudi Arabia.
